What is Rezum?

Rezum Water Vapor therapy is an office based procedure which utilizes the natural energy stored in water vapor or steam to remove excess prostatic tissue that is pressing on the urethra and obstructing urinary flow. The prostatic tissue was accessed through the urethra/penis. The energy is delivered into the prostatic tissue which then subsequently is reabsorbed after treatment. This allows for the urethra to open and allow better passage of urine, reducing symptoms from an enlarged prostate.
